The Rooney rule concept ‘won’t work’ in Rugby

The Football Association (FA) has come under fire for the lack of BAME managers and coaches currently in the game, so could the Rooney rule be an option?

The Rooney rule was set-up in 2002 by the National Football League (NFL) and it requires every franchise to interview at least one minority candidate for a position.  But will English sport adopt a similar policy, but will it work in sports such as football or rugby?

  1. I’d like to hope that organizations which “come under fire” will start to man up a little bit. That’s just me though. Sick of all of the snowflake B.S. and caving to silly grievance groups.
